Stelele

se-amesteca toate ca soapte in noapte
ecouri de timpuri  ce-au apus in gand

The Faithless Ones (pt. 2)

Time came full circle and I shed my old skin
And the skies were carved in crimson blues
A new life began, a life without sin
A life close to joy, a life I would lose.

My world stood frozen as if astound
My time was now, without future or past
My soul ran free, untouched and unbound
And my heart would love once more, once last.

I knew naught of angels until that day
Nor of beauty, nor love or the endless fall
And there She stood and showed me the way
The Burning One, the brightest of all.

And her touch was gentler than a muse's song
And her kiss was sweeter than the finest wine
Her heart so fragile and yet so strong
And her soul as naked and bare as mine.

Once more, once last my wings flew their heighest
In a twist of fate, Love answered my call
Once more, once last my heart burned its brightest
But the brightest stars are the first ones to fall

And the blackest of eyes showed a love so pure
The darkest of hearts lastly found light
And thus was born a love without cure,
A time without end on the edge of night

And her touch was gentler than a muse's song
And her passion turned a frozen breath hot
And we walked together on a road too long
Outside of reason and outside of thought

And we danced beneath a September sky
As the world we knew lay behind in ash
And we danced entwined 'till heavens high
We danced 'till gods and men would clash

A forbidden love consumed what was real
Our fire defied a thousand worlds' suns
Deep on our hearts lay etched love's seal
The night we became the faithless ones

And our time grew as long as eternity's sight
Our love stronger than any gods you'd trust
We were the faithless children of night
Above heavens we stood, above love, above lust

And legions of angels striking at the core
Gods casting lightning in fear for their world
And demons holding hell's open door
So that Lucifer himself may cast his word

Fire atop us and poison beneath
United for once with a single goal.
Heaven and hell, cold and heat
To break apart that which is whole

And break they did, but it wasn't our love
'Twas a heart that died from the horror of war
From the hell below and heavens above
'Twas a heart that couldn't fight any more

Then I saw love's seraph naked in hell's deep
And she writhed in pain and her cries filled my night
And my eyes saw beauty dying in her sleep
As The Burning One was stripped of her light

So take my eyes, they bled their last dreams
Take my words, they stand written on dust
Take the cries and battles and screams
Take my reason, my life and my trust

Take my world or I'll take yours from you!
And heavens trembled and hell froze in fear
And demons and gods alike then knew
It wasn't love's destiny to die right here

But it became theirs to die instead!
And a sky carved in light heralds its end
And the marble halls of heaven came red
And to nothing all of hell I would send

My shield stands forged of Lucifer's wings
My sword tempered in heaven's fury
And I now rid the world of kings
For I've become both judge and jury

The faithless ones (pt. 1)

Your kiss caressing the strings of my heart
And your hold fusing worlds once torn apart
Your eyes still innocent and your lips ever sweet
And our steps still walking on the midnight street

Then our torn piece of heaven drove the gods mad
And battlecries of angels poured over our souls
Amiss and forgotten and lost and sad
Hearts were still burning as red as coals

Then your kiss came poison coursing through me
And your hold let go and the world came undone
And your eyes were closed ad could not see
How the mighty hero became the broken one

Lo and behold how the mighty have fallen!
How the epic hero became the kneeling king..
How then a broken voice came calling
And you closed your eyes and clipped destiny's wing

And an old man's soul lead a search unending
For the very spark that lit heavens ablaze
And for the only heart never bending
Only to find himself lost in a maze

And destiny's angel has spoken
And one dark day the future unfurled
And a kneeling king came broken
To send fair warning to an ending world

In a world of the blind, the one-eyed was king
And there he etched the love he would lose.
In a world of the deaf, he who painted could sing
And there he played the forever blues.

Torn from heaven and trod through hell
With a breath of hope and another of loss
As his song was the sound of a death knell
Through madness he walked, through madness and dross

And he stood beneath the measure of a man
And paid the tolls of a broken heart.
Amiss and forgotten and left with no plan
The broken king went then back to start.

And the way back home held a dead sky ahead
And the king sank his feet deep in bridges of ash
And his words drowned deep in the story unsaid
While beauty in pain glimmered in a flash

Yet the king swam against every which stream
And every which wind resisted as well
Still he finally found his land to redeem
But the road to redemption lead him through hell.

And hell he walked from dawn 'till night
While his world ended to be born again
And a blind world got back its sight
And a torn deaf world could hear his pain

And hell he walked 'till his feet hurt
And the kneeling king then crawled.
He crawled on through but mud and dirt..
The king was lost, never to be recalled.

And the king was no more and nor was the hero
But a rusted voice still hummed an old song
And as the simple man got back to zero
His soul was untainted of all he did wrong.

The hero waivered and the king was no more!
And that night in hell a new hero was born
Untouched and pristine from the horrors of war,
Unstained, unbent, unbroken, untorn.

The road to redemption lead him through hell
And past the fires of doom love lay
Past the onfall of torment and cry and yell
Past hell and fire, She was here to stay.

And the hero was born through his own demise
Of another love and of different worlds
And silence then shouted her battlecries
And thus I became the carpenter of words
